Dr. N.Vijayan M.A, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.L, Ph.D an Ex-Indian Air Force Personnel is the Founder – Chairman of Zion & Alwin Group of schools. He holds double doctorate degree one on social work that was conferred by the International Bible College and the second is on Education under the title Peer group teaching. With more than three decades of teaching experience, he  guides and leads all the teachers and he is a role model not only for the teachers but also to the students. According to him, teaching is the noblest service under the sky. He is the editor and author for several text books especially, Chairman for the X Std Physics text book under matriculation syllabus and author for std XI and Std XII text book Physics.He was suitably awarded with “State Best Teacher Award” followed by the “National Best Teacher Award” and it was given by the former President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. He was also awarded the President’s Medal “Silver Star” for his community service through Bharath Scouts and Guides from the then H’ble President of India Mrs. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil.The founder of Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School Dr.N.Vijayan spent his early years serving in the warfront areas in various capacities. In his 15 years tenure in the air force he received medals for his distinguished service.After his commendable service in Indian Air Force his passion for teaching and ambition to become a teacher finally fulfilled by opening a school in the name of Vijay’s nursery school with 2 teachers including Mr. N.Vijayan and 11 tiny tots. His hard work coupled with dedication and devotion , the school rose to greater heights in terms of standard and strength with a name  Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School . For his commitments and contribution in providing holistic education to the children , the Govt. of Tamilnadu honoured him with the State’s best teacher award and later on Govt. of India honoured him with a much prestigious and coveted  National best teacher award and it was given by the then President of India Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, who advised Dr.N.Vijayan to extend his noble service to the underprivileged and economically weaker students, which Dr.N.Vijayan does until today. Again Govt. of India honoured him with a silver star award for community service and this award was given by the former President of India Madam Prathibha Devisingh Patil. He fulfilled his another dream of opening a school with the state of art facility to be regarded as one of the best schools in the country. Accordingly with all such fabulous facilities a new school in the name of  Alwin International Public School ,Padappai,West Tambaram( AIPS) was started in the year 2015 and it is an awesome school for its infra and super structure with a high degree of standard of education that admission is always limited. It has classes upto IX std and is to be extended upto XII std in the years to come.
