She holds over 40 years of experience in the educational field. After having worked for more than 20 years in the public sector as an educator, she decided to open her own school in 1995 as she believes that children need more extra-curricular activities to grow, a principle she highly adopts in her school. Her aim has always been to develop an atmosphere where children get the opportunity to grow in various ways and to integrate properly in our society. Mrs. Jaya is also the Director of Sound Values Ltd, an MQA approved training Institution delivering courses for prospective teachers at primary and pre-primary level .She sits in the executive committee board of the Association of Private Pre-Primary Schools Managers as President and at the same time holds the position as President of Bethany Home Association, a benevolent organisation for needy people.
