Educating and empowering the less privileged through integrated methods and initiating and implementing progressive social change.We are a small group of passionate individuals committed to our society and country.We run schools, Hospitals, TNOU bridge course programs and community projects for the poor in the slums of  Ambattur OT chennai.We are passionate about our culture ,country and its possibilities and potential of Tamil peoople.We believe Tamil Nadu is changing… but not fast enoughAnd while we don’t want to sound like prophets of doom and gloom, here’s a reality check..INDIA has the world’s largest number of poor in the world….millions of youth every year enter the job market but have no education or skills for employment •Out of a population of 1.28 billion, nearly 350,000,000 live below the poverty line.. unable to fulfil basic human needs of food, clothing and shelter..Many times that number are denied access to two vital indexes of social development viz. education and health.Isn’t this a social time bomb waiting to explode!! • And so.. while we marvel at and celebrate our many achievements, we sometimes despair at the gap between our potential and it’s lack of fulfilment.. •We believe this gap can only be bridged through social transformation.We cannot wait only for the state or government to bring about this change..we,the people, too have a part to play •While job quotas and reservations by the state may play some part in social engineering,We at AACINI focus on: Education of CHILDREN Empowerment  and skills for YOUTH •The question before us is… Should the leaders of tomorrow only be confined to isolated pockets of the privileged and affluence. •We at AACINI envision an India in which the global citizens of the 21st century and the future leaders of industry, trade, entrepreneurship, education, media emerge out of the slums . •We dream of an India in which our engineers and doctors and software professionals and CEOs emerge not only out of elite, expensive private schools, but schools and community projects such as ours that strive to educate, empower and transform those who most need education, empowerment and transformation. •This is the challenge before our nation… •We at AACINI are happy to play our small part…
