Maniammai Children's Primary School and Samboorna Kalaikoodam jointly organised certificate classes on "An introduction to Music" (Isai Arimuga Sandrithal classes) to create awareness on the importance of music and its role in people's life.The number of participants and the age group they fell into were interesting. The participants included three-year-old children and 50-year-old people, who showed that age is no bar to learn and enjoy music. The Nadaswara Vidwan and Thillana Mohanambal-fame M.P.N. Ponnusamy and Tamil Nadu Music College principal, G. Rajendran, and the school correspondent, B. Varadharajan, and others addressed the valedictory function and distributed certificates to the participants
