St. James was founded on 1st October 1982 by The Roman Catholic Diocese of Tiruchirappalli. The school is run under the dynamic guidance of Most. Rev. Dr. Antony Devotta, the Bishop of Trichy. We remember with gratitude the untiring efforts of Rev. Fr. A. Susairaj, the founder and the remarkable services rendered by Rev. Fr. S. Chinnappan, Rev. Fr. S. Aruldass and Rev. Dr. A. Suresh. St. James has a total strength of 3805 students whose academic needs are paid individual attention by 97 dedicated and fully qualified staff of different faculties and 29 non – teaching staff. Our school gives equal priority to Academic Excellence Spiritual Growth, Moral Educare, Social Awareness and Human Formation with the aim of moulding our students as integrated personalities.

Admission Procedures

Admissions are made in LKG. For admission into LKG, only candidates who are above 3 years of age can apply online only. Admissions to others classes will be done during the last week of May month every year and admission will be made purely on availability of seats. WITHDRAWALS Application for withdrawal should be sent to the Principal. A week’s prior notice in written is required for the removal of a pupil. The requisition should be made by the father or the mother of the student concern
